The Volunteers:
• Are over 18 years of age
• Speak the Serbian language
• Have an interest in assisting frail people
• Are willing to spend some time providing companionship

All volunteers go through training which covers:
• Their roles and responsibilities
• Consumers needs and rights
• Confidentiality and communication
• First Aid and other compulsory trainings

Our services are funded under the Commonwealth Home Support Program (CHSP) by the Australian Government Department of Health and Aged Care. Consumers pay a contribution/fee towards the cost of services they receive if they can afford to do so ($5 per activity for the Social Support group activities and $3 per activity for Social Support individual activities).

My Aged Care is the Australian Government’s entry point to the aged care system in Australia. It provides information on government-subsidised aged care services, assessment eligibility and aged care providers.
